Notice: Pricing Tier Adjustments

Dear NeedName.com Resellers, Recently, domain registries VeriSign, Afilias, and Public Interest Registry (PIR) notified all ICANN-accredited registrars that they will be raising their wholesale prices. As a consequence, we will be adjusting ETP pricing tiers accordingly on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 as follows: ETP Pricing TiersOld Domain Pricing Tier (year)New Domain Pricing Tier (year) PREMIER from $7.49 to $7.99 VOLUME from $8.49 to $8.99 BASIC from $9.49 to $9.99 ALTERNATIVE from $10.49 to $10.99 The retail price will increase from $8.88 to $9.95 per year this coming September 30, 2008. The new pricing tier will be an industry wide change mandated by the main registry. Which TLDs are affected by the new pricing tiers? Based upon your current ETP pricing tier (Premier, Volume, Basic, and Alternative), the following TLD prices are being changed: .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, and .name. When will the new ETP pricing begin? All price increases will go into effect starting on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 . How will my customers be affected? Your clients will not be affected if you are doing your own billing and you do not use a sub-account structure. If you are using PDQ, Registry Rocket, or have a sub-account base, you will need to update your customers to meet the new minimum ETP pricing requirements (see minimum prices listed below).
